  • hi , berlin is built on a jurrasic lake bed of sand, as soon as you dig more than a few meters it floods, in parts over 30meters of sand was removed this was recycled into the foundations, 450000 cubic meters of concerete was poured in one continous operation, supplied from concrete plants built on site, when pouring a constant line of striped concrete mixers feed this task 24 hours a day.I hope to go back one day to see the outcome of my small part ,hope this helps ,Nick
