Lol that's exactly what I do, that pad on stage right of the drum kit is sometimes triggering a sample, and other times triggers a change in scene in live/max.

I liked the idea of looping drums but the problem is with ambient sound from the kit, it didn't fit well with my music to have this loud drum kit (which you can hear itself and through the PA) and then have it quiet down when you stop playing and the loop continues. Other musicians find that aesthetic good, not me! Thanks for comment! :)

it would be you cool if you looped the drums, or used drum triggers to sample more loops
