Porcelain is the debut album from the successful young British composer, Helen Jane Long. Her style is fresh, inspiring and totally individual. It is an expressive, inspiring and evocative collection of original compositions which cross the worlds of classical, chill out, and filmic music to create an indefinable combination of music minimalism.
Helen says "I don't tend to follow any particular formula or pattern when I compose. I just play what I feel. In many ways I use composing as a form of therapy, a way of expressing thoughts and feelings without necessarily verbally communicating them....I hope that my music has a similar effect on those listening to it too".

Toward the end, there's only your echo of hope. The last melody imposes a sad, but somehow, happy ending.

This song tells a story. In the beginning it's sort of happy, careless, worry-free. But it slowly progresses into a sorrowful melody, as if a tragedy has occurred and there's nothing to be done. Then it transitions (or is it transits?) into the knowledge of knowing you can find a way to heal.
