Its an obvious case of negligence. The principal would not have expected the scene to go so bad.
However, principal is not the lone person to be blamed. Schools need better medical facilities and planning in place.

Just look at the damned principal's face. She did not feel at all remoseful while speaking. All she thought of was nth but covering up her stinky arse.
Usually people will say a few words of condolences in this kinda situation. Being aware that the family of the deceased was coming to terms with her death, she spoke for herself so vehemently without knowing that it'll further aggravate the anger of people. Such an asshole.
Even if she was innocent, how good and clever a person can she be?
