This song, originally by The Police, has a strong emotional resonance for me: When I was a kid my taste in music was completely guided by my dad's record collection -- he had thousands of records, so every day was a musical education. But when my mum and dad split up I was left with my mum's record collection which was... erm... sh*t (sorry mum!) She had one record I liked, so it got played a lot. And this was it. A darkly isolationist anthem of despair. And now look at me. I hope you like it!

Thanks to the fantastic Luke Wright and his colleagues at Horizon Productions http://www.horizonproductions.co.uk/ and Jack Simpson and everyone Eiger Studios, Leeds http://www.eiger-studios.com/

  • I can play the bit from 3:45 to 4:10.

  • I recently stumbled upon your music and I am so blown away by it all. Please go on one of the talent shows and show the world that yes, there is true talent left in the world. Your playing is just wonderful.

  • @9juheje8a He's not that kinda guy. At least he said so.. and i hope his opinion never changes unless the mainstreambusiness changes the way it does its business.

  • this is my all time fav song

  • @9juheje8a Haha! They actually called his manager and she told them to F__ off!

  • Crazy good version. Does it get any better than this?

  • @jgjonola I hope he doesn't fall into the desperate attempts for fame on shows like Britain's got talent, he already is a world recognised talent. Just not to main stream addicts and scene kids
