  • Exquisite clip! The Queen MC LYTE always says profound words! She always leave the listeners full -unlike many newbies! Everything she said is true to form! I never heard her dissing her own race w/ don imus rants! WTF is that shit about?! These crack babies can say all the bs that they want but if there was no MC LYTE, Queen, Roxanne & all of the other pioneers there would be no barbie acts today! So I dare a young/dumb bitch to say: Mc Lyte who? Cram to overstand this! Lyte school'em some more

  • MC lyte anotha living legend,i swear the new gen. of female rappers which is....nikki minaj is a fuckin joke itlike the new gen of hip hop soul purpose is destroy the rich legacy of the art of hip hop smh

  • its Called RIDE WIT ME! i thinks its from her underground album...

  • Can someone tell me the name of that song I have been looking for it forever??

  • Haha. Have you ever seen Latifah's mostly ghost written album called Black Reign where she is trying to be a gangsta on songs like The Black Hand Side and Just Another Day. Lyte was REAL. She gave respect to female emcees, didn't need male ghost writers and was original. Latifah (Early in her career) just spit weak pro-woman cliches that you could hear pretty much anywhere, and then when Hip Hop began to change she changed. Now she changed again and has gone Hollywood. lyte is still the same.

  • @ AFROHISPANIC7,

Solowizard is basically right. MC Lyte's raps were all about Ghetto Drama. Whereas Queen latifah and Monie Love rapped about meaningful things.
