well done man, you nailed it!

Very nice tone and playing also,just curious how much you paid for the Ibanez lo-fi pedal as they are now getting pretty expensive since they are discontinued-even on Ebay?I had a chance to get one for $40 awhile back and now I'm kicking myself.I do own tons of pedals-mostly overdrive and distortions and own the Ibanez SM7 Smashbox and even though made of plastic have never had a problem with it breaking on me.

Thank's for your answer, yes it's true, i could get a simple boost or an eq pedal to do that but i like what this pedal does and i have only space for one pedal in my pedalboard, that's why i'm thinking if it would work for what i need.
I love recording guitarists and I think it's great that you're getting the authentic tone and sound you desire. Nice work! When I've got some spare cash I'm definately getting an AC15 for the studio :-)

@pimpleburger It's a great amp but for me it's a bit too loud for studio use when you want to drive it hard. Even when in 6 watt mode it's very powerful due to the sensitivity of the blue back speaker. When I want natural amp distortion I usually record with my Peavey Classic 20.

You can do all of this with an EQ like the Boss GE-7 which is a far better pedal. It seems to add treble and mids with a light boost at times depending on the setting. Those Ibanez pedals are also prone to breaking after a year or two.

@cpkelley No you can't. The GE-7 contains no distortion circuitry which the LF-7 does. In fact, I really like the distortion part of it and often use it as a 'normal' distortion in the studio as it's quite good at getting a Marshall/vox type sound out of Fender type amplifiers. Also, the LF-7 has an input switchable to low impedance mic and line settings. Mine has been gigged and used in the studio a lot .. it shows no signs of breaking.

@threestreet
hi, very nice demo, do you think it can be used as kind of clean boost just after the overdrive without changing the tone too much?
Thank's a lot

@tristeuomo Well I suppose it could if you turned the drive right down and set the tone controls to the least 'LoFi' settings, then raised the gain to boost the level. I can't see why you would want to use this pedal to do that though - there are lots of cheaper options that would do that as or better because it doesn't need any of the stuff this pedal was intended to do.
