  • Because the sounds you get from one of these rape any digital synthesizer, then discard them in an abandoned dumpster.

  • My dream is an egg. Inside the egg are a pair of sweet headphones and a comfy chair. The inner wall of the egg is covered with modules. I would have a hard time leaving.

  • Sounds so good.

  • ok I want one... for my guitar ...

  • @TomZentra - Point well taken ...... It makes for an amazing electronic toy, but their application is problematic, and rare ...

I would point to Alessandro Cortini, playing with Trent Reznor's Nine Inch Nails, as an example of a synthesist who uses modulars to enhance textures in modern rock music - And their use in support of strong bass lines works across a number of rock genres ..... Sometimes you can barely notice them, but they are there ..... Pain in the arse to program, though ....

  • @TomZentra I rather think 99% of modular owners that "make music" with it don't post their videos on youtube operating their maschines. But of course there is a lot of music out there with modulars in it. Beside that: There is no need to write "normal music" with a modular. You just can spend hours getting lost into sound exploration, creating new patches, fixing modules and it's a great relaxing thing to do after a hard day of work. ;)

  • @plungerdrum The only problem is that 99% of modular owners never make music; they write odd sounding melodies like the one in this video and most people don't care to listen to it.

  • HOLY FUK CORDS! jk lol

  • @reykjavikc RTFM ?

  • @plungerdrum I'll be hiding behind the fence and grab them when the discarder walks away!

  • @reykjavikc Do you know how to work it at least? I'm assuming that after 11 months you have found the "on" button I hope! How are the sounds you're getting from it, and where the hell did you find it!
