Minute With the Pope: Feb. 1, 2012

Benedict XVI invited the faithful to trust more in Divine Providence during his weekly audience Feb. 1, 2011, urging them to ask God "for the strength to abandon ourselves to renew our 'yes' to him, to repeat to him 'your will be done,' to conform our will to his." Dear friends," he continued, "we ask the Lord to be able to stay awake with him in prayer, to follow the will of God every day even if that means taking up a 'Cross,' to live an ever greater intimacy with the Lord, to bring to this 'earth' a little bit of God's 'heaven.'"
