My father would have loved this video. We spent close to 20 years building a train layout in his basement together. He kept the entire layout in the 1940's/50's era. Our favorites were always the steam trains. He passed away last year and every time I hear a steam whistle it brings a tear to my eye.

The Royal Hudsons whistle sounds like a SP 6 chime.

@sugarjacki Thanks for the comment. Was your dad on the North Vancouver to Squamish run?

Thanks for posting this. I remember 6060 from when I was a little boy when she was still owned by CN in the 70s. Dad had a brass model of 2860 and we went to see her every chance we had too. Along with the 1057, the 136 and the 6218, these engines were a steam staple for me when I was a train-obsessed little boy. Wonderful to see them doing a doubleheader, I wasn't aware till now that this had happened. Two great rivals on the same train. Wonderful.

@jetporter Your welcome! Thanks for your comment. I am still train-obsessed but not so little anymore!

This has got to be one of the best steam clips anywhere. I was living in North Vancouver in 1988. Steam Expo had taken place two years earlier at the waterfront yards in Vancouver. Would love to see a video of that event as well. Does anyone know of one?

@bluecomet390 I have video of the steam parade. It was taken by a friend so if he gives the go-ahead perhaps some can be posted.
