After exiting the comm room, head over the spikes and fall down. Over to the right is a hallway with low spikes. Shotgun recoil yourself into that nook for the Yashichi [11/12]. Head back out and the other way to find the boss, Power Pod 2. This one is the same as before, only when it gets to the ground, you need to jump on top of it. Defeating it gets us the health recovery pills.
