Soupy was the greatest. Always kind to his fans. He was smart, quick witted, and generous.
I feel honored and lucky to have had been able to meet him, when he was on his show at channel 5, and later on in comedy clubs. He had a hugh following in N.Y. Both kids and adults loved him.
He was warm and kind hearted. Too bad, he was not know by kids today. They surely missed out. He will be missed.

One of my most vivid memories is watching that show when he did that. I didn't send money because we were out of envelopes. Honest to God. I owned a Soupy Sales Vinyl lunchbox. I was cleaning the themos in my bathroom sink and the darn thing fell in the toilet bowl. I never used the Thermos again after that. True story!
