A disc jockey or DJ is a person who selects and plays prerecorded music for an audience.There are several types of disk jockeys. Several techniques are used by DJs as a means to better mix and blend prerecorded music. These techniques primarily include the cueing, equalization and audio mixing of two or more sound sources. The number, complexity, and frequency of special techniques depends largely on the setting in which a DJ is working. Radio DJs are less likely to focus on music-mixing technique than club DJs, who rely on a smooth transition between songs using a range of techniques.

Dude, you can't put Rave DJ's in the same section as "Club" DJ's! Club DJ's play top 100 crap while Rave DJ's play underground stuff. And Deadmau5 is not a rave DJ, he a club DJ. Same with Tiesto.

I know. I played at a bar recently and played rave music. Was told to play more clubby music and not so rave-ish.
