the person who actually made that omelette was the director of this movie (juzo itami). First he was filming this scene with a professional chef he hired, but he didn't like it much, eventually he decided to do it by himself.

yeah I'm making omurice sometimes and it takes a lot of practice just to be at least half as good as this bum :)
