what's the difference?

Sram I9 Shimano Alfine or Rohloff forget Derailleur Crap
-
if you've got no money to compare, then don't compare.
-
LOL!
That guy landed sideways, crosschained on a x country bike on flat concrete, broke off his derailleur & then try's to blame the frame maker for his ignorant supidity .

recorded with what? A calculator?!?!

A bit of flex/shock absorption is a good thing. Too rigid and a big enough hit will mean the nice Sram mech will snap off. Don't believe me, check the vid "DONT buy a CANNONDALE!!!!"

@Glide365 Actually its right in the middle of sram's mtb components, X3, X4, X5... X7... X9, X0, XX. Its about an entry level in the performance class so its still a higher end part. Compares better to Shimano Deore. Thats what the video should have had, Deore vs X7

It proved to me that I should strip out that high price XTR 2006 group, sell the parts on Ebay, and purchase the entry level SRAM X7 for way under the price I paid for the XTR crank. It's a done deal.

This video taker is from Sram? What an idiot comparison just by looking at the rear drailiuers.

Ya Guys your right, why dont you two stick with Shimano, that way i can whoop you Ass out on the Trail, keep it up Seriously.... X7 isnt 3rd from the top by the way, closer to extry level
You're comparing Shimano Altus (lowest end shimano) to Sram X7 (3rd to top)
Of course Atlus is going to bounce around, its for low end bikes.
If your going to compare, at least compare with the other brands comparable derailleur...

Why would I care what and where does it move, if the chainline stays dead on?
