[Non/Disney] Dimitri / Sinbad / Odette - The ghost of you

The ghost of you - seeing your true desires in every person you meet.

[ By lying to yourself and denying who you are, you end up hurting everyone around you.

Dimitri is lying by forcing himself to trying to be with a person he doesn't love.
Odette is lying by pretending she doesn't see her relationship is going through serious problems.
Sinbad is lying by running away from what he's too afraid to face. ]

BEFORE WATCHING:

- The story starts at what seems to be the end of any relations, not the beginning:
Dimitri is breaking his connection with Sinbad, too tired to stay in an on and off, secret relationship, that leads nowhere, because the other person refuses to acknowledge what he trully wants; Dimitri had no doubts about his feelings, while Sinbad prefers to hide them, not certain he can handle being in an open, controversial relationship
- Sinbad leaves the country; Dimitri starts dating a young noble, Odette, that has been attracted to him for quite a while now

AFTER WATCHING:

- While Odette's at the docks, preparing to get on the ship that'll take her home, to her great suprise she sees Sinbad and - since she was always uncertain about his relations with Dimitri - decides to follow him
- Odette was certain, that Dimitri knew about Sinbad's return and he told her the things he did only because she meant nothing to him - on the contrary, Dimitri's true motif was to stop hurting the girl any further, when he realized their relationship has no hopes of becoming a happy one
- Odette badly hurt herself and then claimed Sinbad actually did it
- A nobles word was always more worthy than poor man's with dubious reputation
- The girl wanted Sinbad to only be sent away from the country ; Odette wasn't expecting what her actions would eventually led to - she was shocked and miserable upon seeing the outcome of her plans. She's not an evil character, just a devastated young girl, lost and completely broken-hearted, not knowing whom she could trust.
