  • Love this arrangement, Dee Dee Bridgewater is a highly underrated artist!

  • Dee Dee Bridgewater is the vocal mother of Jill Scott. They both share the same vocal subtlety. Sheer Brilliance!!!!

  • @molinmusic May be there are a million underrated singers. DeeDee is high rated, she wrote history, even if not as famous as Ella.

  • @sonwamac Maybe she will be. She's still got a ways to go.

  • @iluvmyboba I wish Jill Scott was as artistically adventurous as Dee Dee

Thank you for your remarks. I have been saying the same thing for awhile now and no longer feel crazy for saying so. The increasingly sophisticated sound in Scott's voice has its roots in Bridgewater's. So true!

  • Thank you, I just had this cd and you really helped me decide and buy.

Lately she's not my favourite singer, though she made some really fine cd (my favourite: Love And Peace). With these great musicians around back in 1974 this must have been her best recording; there's a distint Max Roach/Abbey Lincoln feel here I cannot but love....

  • Now, this is tight! Dee Dee this is sassy! I have always liked this song, but you take it to the4 next level! I give it a perfect "10"

  • THIS IS LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for posting!

  • love this version dee dee queen of modern jazz cant wait see her in april...

  • jadefire1000
