Is Mrs. Sarah Palin's speech consider Manifest Destiny

Governor Sarah Palin did a free style speech before she was the Republican vice Presidential nominee. She spoke at a graduation ceremony at a Christian school. In her free-style speech, she express how proud she was that her son join the military as an infantry soldier and being shipped to Iraq. She also implied that it is God's will for our troops to be in Iraq. In listening to the Michael Baisden radio talk show coming from work, the speaker on his show compare what Mrs. Palin implied about God's will for our troops to be in Iraq to Manifest Destiny.

Do you think what Mrs. Palin implied is compared to Manifest Destiny? Should our brave men and women of the arm forces should fight for freedom or for Manifest Destiny? How many of us Americans know the history of Manifest Destiny? What Mrs. Palin think about Islam in Iraq or Islam in general? Does she think that being a Muslim is wrong?

This is not a personal attack against Mrs. Palin. Mrs. Palin has very right on earth to be proud of her son going to Iraq just like any other patriotic proud parent. I wish her son a safe trip over there. And while over there protecting our freedom, I hope he take the free time to learn about the Iraqi people, their culture, and their faith.

As an employer interviewing an employee, she is a heartbeat from the presidency. The President of the United States work for the people, not the other way around. She was the one that volunteered for the job. I am certain that Senator McCain did not forced her to be vice president. The American people have the right to know. On that note, as an employer asking an employee, Do Mrs. Sarah Palin believes in Manifest Destiny?

I am not a Palin fan but this is not Manifest Destiny she is talking about. She is discussing Divine Providence. Two very different Philosophies. She never says or describes Manifest Destiny. She says the words Destiny, but that has nothing to do with Manifest Destiny.

I think the point she was trying to make was that whatever decisions that are mad that they be what god wants us to do. And also i think bringing peace and democracy to a country that is now unstable and has not known a day of freedom would be god's plan no matter what religion you fall under. I think people from every religion can subscribe to some basic fundemental principles on how to treat there fellow man. And if thats the best you can do is make fun of the woman's accent then thats sad.

Wow! Even Cheaney now acknowledges that we're there to control (if not steal) their oil. If we really wanted to liberate people from their dictators, we'd be in Egypt or Saudi Arabia or Korea or Syria. The pretext of WMD got de-bunked so regime change was merely a convenient substitute rationale. And if given a choice between a Cheaney style thief and a Palin style religious fanatic, give me the good honest thief any day.

Isn't "Gods Plan" what got us into this war in the first place? The terrorists idea of "Gods Plan?" Now she says that our involvment in Iraq is "Gods Plan." Aparently "Gods Plan" involves the decimation of thousands of Americans if not at the hands of terrorists than at the hands of an incompetent comander in chief.
