One of Sis. Frances Steadman's greatest song she has ever recorded.

She dedicated this song to her former laborer in the gospel, Sis. Clara Ward

  • A beautiful and powerful version..belongs right alongside the great versions by the Spirit of Memphis ( the very best), Marion Williams, Bessie Griffin, Clara Ward and Brother Joe May....I wish we had recordings of Mother Willie Mae Ford Smith and Mahalia Jackson...a powerful song by powerful singers.

  • All you can say is WOW.......

  • lets have some church

  • LOL@ DEATH "GRAWZ NEAR"

  • The only version on Youtube that gives Marion Williams a run for the money is that of Reverend Timothy Flemming. And if like me you think this is the quintessential gospel song be sure to hear the classic recordings of Clara Ward and Brother Joe May. Among quartets The Spirit of Memphis kill the song. Mahalia was famous for it too but, alas, she never recorded it.

  • Lord, have mercy! I didn't think anyone sang this better than Marion Williams. Go 'head, go 'head, Frances!
