I wasn't skipping. It was manly stomping/hopping/running. He's a small man so his short legs would hinder him from quickly moving around the stage.
After years of working on them, they have become muscly little pistons. And now he has developed his own unique method of bipedal movement that is in NO WAY skipping .

Trent has said during interviews that he and the band often do random shit just to make people wonder.He has been known to blare upbeat pop music from the dressing room before a show,just to kind of fuck with people.

OMG! This is too funny! I don't recall Trent ever skipping/hopping across the stage to reach the mic before. And Robin and Justin jumping on stage made the clip even more funny, LOL! Justin's hopping makes him look like a kangaroo! Hahaha! And the music fits the video perfectly and makes it even funnier.
