@thegreatmuffinkings Yes, I created a mask along the tree line with slightly fuzzy edge then placed the image of the mountains under that mask. Since they sync up with their motion and nothing along the mask line animates, you just create the mask once, no adjustments need to be made (no key framing)... the mask has the same motion tracking applied to it that the mountains do.

@thegreatmuffinkings No rotoscoping necessary. Just pick two trackable points (high contrast) and the image just sticks in place.

preety bad when you gotta alter the photo of a lake to make it nice, there aint shit in nebraska but flat empty corn fields no ponds streams or rivers to speak of, no decent lakes and all the lakes they do have are green mud puddles , im from down south but live in lincoln now ive lived in 7 different states and ill tell you this, this place b-lows.......... : /

The main goal is to get the still picture to move in sync with the video and cut the video so that you can let the picture show through.
Using After Effects, you pick two points in the distance to motion track then you apply that motion data to a picture that you've put behind (in layers) behind the video (where you've masked the video layer along the treeline).

@FRAGI3015 Yeah, I was intentionally trying to give it some atmosphere blur but maybe overdid it. Switching YT's playback to 480 helps.
