Shaykh Al Albaani rahimahullaah, discusses with an individual the error of accusing and spreading this blanket statement, "the salafis are harsh".

He then clarifies that the salafis are the most active in giving da'wa in relation to the other groups, and that harshness is not only found amongst salafis. So to say it only comes from them is an error.

He explains that the wisdom in giving da'wa is in using leniency and harshness in their proper place. Not using harshness all the time, and not using leniency all the time, and that it is rare that we find someone who is able to put them in their proper place all the time.
