@GMSamuelRhine They are normally steel frames from what i have seen because steel has more flex than ally so they will take that extra beating.

@GMSamuelRhine I think cc frames are rigid for better pedaling efficiency and to be able to take a beating but they also flex a bit(fork and rear triangle) to absorb terrain bumps. I am just guessing, I'm not an expert...
