More: http://heli-chair.com/boat.html We videotaped the installation of one of the stainless steel pop up cleats that we used on the boat. we clamped the backing plate on the top surface of the fiberglass hull, used a dremel tool with router bit to profile the opening, then came back in with a sanding bit to round everything off a bit and make it smooth. the vacuum cleaner is a must to keep the fiberglass dust from being inhaled. sorry for the high frequency noise, that's just what a dremel and vacuum do on video. when doing this in real life, ear plugs are a must! acon

  • Nice vid. What tip are you using on the dremel?

  • @treepog just a 1/8 rougher type bit. it's not an "endmill" type, but just a filing texture. I just looked on Dremel.com and found the "562 Tile Cutting Bit" which is pretty close to what I used. i don't care for the fluted cutters when hand-holding the tool because they are very hard to control.

  • Great video! Accon should pay you for doing this.

  • Guys its very important to use a vacume cleaner just like the person on the vid is doing because its very dangerous if you inhale fibreglass dust.
