  • I don't think that they should change the ride to be like the movie. I've been on the Haunted Mansion more times than I can count, but I've only been able to last through the movie once. The ride is MUCH better than the movie. Plus, the ride is a classic. My Grandmother remembers going on it back when it was new in 1970.

  • I agree. The Haunted Mansion movie was 90% stinker, and it would make a lot of fans angry if they changed it.

Some people are even a bit irked that they changed the bride in the attic into the high-tech spectre that now resides there. I'm okay with it, but would have rather seen them bring back the Hatbox Ghost — which was scrapped shortly after the ride started because they couldn't pull off the effect with the technology available at that time.

  • @phantompersian: Yes, but eerily enough, HM was truly the last ride with his personal touch before he died.

  • @RAR5391: Plus, the PotC movies were awesome. The 2003 HM film with Eddie Murphy turned a tragic love story into mostly a cornball romp.

  • @MacEricG: Well, with the Del Toro revamp film, we may get Hatty back. But dang, I miss Emily. Her tragic story beats wacko Constance any day.

  • @goosebumps2002 thats a lie because harry poter not even made by disney and thy madr one in universal and its to small for ome and this is a original

  • I heard they might close down this ride next month an replace it with a harry potter ride.

  • @TVgirlz10 you mean eddie murphy's haunted mansion? the ride has nothing to do with the movie the ride started in the 60's i guess and the movie is in 2003

  • LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • if they absolutely HAVE to associate the film with the ride, then i hope they make it as unnoticeable as possible. perhaps add a skeleton portrait of eddie murphy on the vanity against the wall as you turn into the attic. something subtle.

  • the movie sucks. but i would buy the movie just to have this bonus material. I loved the making and history of pirates ride on the first carribean dvd.

  • i don't remember the knight character. and i don't know what the hat box ghost is.
