Yeah but you do find them on the track with modds and doing low 11s so they aren't that bad

For money. That is the simple answer for that. Jeep needed something that stood out and Jeep is known for having "superior" 4X4's so the Jeep team decided to make it into an AWD bc it would be better for racing rather than having the SRT8 be a 4X4.
