I think John is truly at his best on Acoustic Guitar...he sounds like he is tapping his spirit most thoroughly this way.

Saw this trio back in the day and would say it was the most impressive live music performance i've ever seen.

John Mclaughlin would likely be one of the few humans capable of full communication with alien species, and I sometimes wonder if Trilok Gurtu isn't proof of that affinity.

belo horizonte = master composition performed here as master improvisation by 3 masters !

it was a good idea - by the way - to delegate the 2. part of the theme to the bass player who comes flowing in like melting butter.

I saw the Trio in the Sydney Opera house it was one of the few times in my life when my brain was totally focused on the one thing and could hear nothing else but the music, amazing JM

I saw the TRIO a couple of times, first with Kai and the other one with Di Piazza and the music was pure imagination, beauty and fresh. I think John has a superior vision of musical landscapes.
