Hmm... They both work. Good comparison.
-
flick it... if you dont flick - its not a comparison... even with the gentle scrolling your doing - you can see the built in android fail
-
you gotta show faster to truly show the lag. scrolling through apps or homescreens really shows the dx's lag as well

YOUR IPHONE HAS A WIFI CONNECTION!!! WTF?
-
The original Iphone and any touch screen Ipod has a way better responsive and less laggy UI so stop saying its because of the old OS.

@fatguyonthc I have a Droid X and would like to know how do you turn down the scroll speed?
-
On the second App the jumpy-ness is mainly caused by the load times. His 3G coverage is 2-3 bars for verizon and full bars for AT&T.
-
That big screen looks SO much nicer. Seeing stuff like this makes me glad I skipped on geting the iphone4.
-
@fatguyonthc Aye. I'll have to try running this test again once the Droid X gets Froyo. I'm definitely curious to see how much faster it is.

@RockBandit I was thinking maybe it has something to do with 4g. They are trying to sell as many 3g phones as fast as possible before Verizon switches over. Its a guess.
It all depends where u live cause where I am verizon is better than at and t

@TheRecon4 I fail to see how that has any bearing on this test.

Ok my eyes say that with a full screen swipe the droid x will move more (less friction) while the iphone 4 will need more work to move the same amount (more friction) so its not that its sluggish its just that its calibrated different...no matter what these are still two of the greatest phones available to purchase.

@tapgamer No, it's actually sluggish. I should record some HD video of this, but because of the iPhone's intertial based scrolling (which Android lacks), you don't have to move your finger much at all to get the page to move.
