DISCUSS Centerburg cancels graduation ceremony
Thursday evening the board met in an emergency session described as several hours of intense and thorough discussion. The special meeting focused on a breach into the schools computer system by a senior student which resulted in copying some tests for a senior course.
The board, in a press release, explained the discovery of the cheating came so late and was of such extent — involving in various ways many members of the senior class, both by some who participated in cheating and others, while not directly participating, had knowledge of this activity but failed to report it — that cancellation of graduation ceremony was warranted.

@freelancemakeup If this had happened at Ben Logan (where I live - though I was homeschooled) Honda would have opened their doors to their conference hall and held the graduation ceremony there...or contacted the school board quietly, and there would still be a ceremony.

thank god this didnt happen at hylton last june when i graduated why dont they just take them aside and tell them they are not graduateing like they did at my school?

And yes, the media did blow this out of the water, but I'm still glad that the innocents still got to have their ceremony...even if it did mean letting the guilty walk at the park too.

That still means that 47 innocent people were screwed undeservedly.
If you had 12 murder suspects, and knew 9 of them were guilty, would you hang all 12 just to be sure you had the guilty ones, knowing you were killing 3 innocents?
Yikes.
