Young, passionate teachers see through the smokescreen of academia very quickly. They see that administrators are incompetent, they see that veteran "teachers" care more about bad mouthing students than helping them learn, and they see pathological unions protecting apathetic pseudo-educators.
Dedicated teachers don't throw in the towel because they "lack professional support." They throw in the towel because teaching in contemporary America isn't a profession in the first place.
