This is my DJ rig! I have put together what I feel is the best set up for what I do, which is mostly wedding receptions. It sets up easily and allows me to do my job flawlessly! Note the SD cards sitting at the bottom. I use the American Audio SDJ-1 MP3 player that allows me to keep all of my music on SD cards. I can fit over 800 songs on just one SD card. The secret is to keep your music orgnized on the cards, mark the cards with what CDs are on the, and have a printed list for FAST reference/locating! The client didn't want the lighting rig due to light levels in the room during the daytime reception.

  • That's a nice setup, I just ordered my table topper facade. Are you 100%CD only?

  • @whamma You'll love the facade...especially if you try to at sometime during the night! lol! I use Cds and the American Audio SDJ-1. Its an MP3 player that uses SD cards for storage. It looks like an ordinary cd remote. Check it out... I acn fit 800 songs on 1 MP3 and my clients don't see a computer and think..."I could have done this myself". So I have a Pioneer dual CD 3000 player and an SDJ-1 and a mixer also with an MP3 player (SD) built in.

  • Yes, it's a "sit/stand" Its sits up really high so you don't look as if you are sitting down... atleast thats the idea. I'm 6'3", so it doesn't make me look like I am standing up all the way, but it helps me see the crowd. I usually end up standing or on the floor interacting with guests for most of the night anyways, but I have a bad ticker (heart) so I have it just incase. I love it cause it breaks down to nothing! I "get away with it" cause I am da' boss! =)

  • Where did you get your facade, I've been looking for one like this !!

  • Nice Chair!!!

  • K.I.S.S. always a good moto ... VERY NICE....

  • nice to see a proper set up rather than these cowboys charging a tenner an hour bringing a common rig just playing music.

the defenition of a dj is sadly changing, kids dont really know nowadays what a proper disco is, great to see one here :)
