Isa 55:11-12

"So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: It shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands."

Thanks to www.scripturesongs.com for making the music freely available. I praise God for writing the beautiful lyrics.

  • I don't get it... why base your life on some transliterated to death writings that are thousands of years old, written by goat herders from the other side of the planet... where's the self confidence in that?

  • My conversion story is on my blog. The link is on the website field of my channel. look for the entry on Jan 13 in the archive. I was atheist for most of my life and was converted in 2002.

  • Great job. God bless

  • It is not my preference, it is God's preference. It is written (I state it again as it does not seem to have sunk in yet):

1 Cor 1:18 "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God."

  • "Which is why we use God's Word, not my word, nor yours."

Thats your personal preference for truth though, yours and yours alone.

Others believe different religious systems are "truth", and all they have is their own opinions as well.

  • Which is why we use God's Word, not my word, nor yours.

  • "Only God can open you eyes to the truth."

That is where it becomes a matter of pure personal preference, not truth.

Depending where you are born, what sex you are, and what period in history you exist, your religious beliefs will default to those of your surroundings until you are able to think for yourself.

Saying yours is truth when every other religion, past and present/future calls themselves the only "truth" as well really doesn't lend any credibility, especially with just your word.

  • If you do not postulate that the Bible is the Word of God, then of course you will not agree. Only God can open you eyes to the truth. It is written:

1 Cor 1:18 "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God."
