LOL Is the intention of the students at this college to deny complete and solid logic for the sake of denying complete and solid logic?? That kid with the dark colored sweat shirt - did his parents raise him to pull his facts from nowhere but his freakin butt?? He just woke up from a flipping dream about those numbers the moment before getting in line to debate. It's either that or he's just that freaking stupid and accepts it.
The scariest thing though is that he was serious about it.

@Falcondick69 i couldnt agree more. if haekels drawings were taught to you as fact, and not as part of the 'history of evolutionary teachings" then that needs to be changed where ever you were taught. human tailbones and whale pelvic bones are both vestigial structures, which support, and are supported by, evolutionary theory.

@scottpastry yes we all know he is a creationist, and he obviously will advocate it either intentionally or unintentionally he will support that idea whenever he speaks. that said, what he is getting at is there does exist false information in books that should be removed. 3 years ago in my science textbook the drawings of the embryology similarities was still in the book. the whale thing and the appenix/human tailbone was mentioned. point being is get false info out of the books.

and who cares if he doesnt tell kids they cant believe in evolution? and what has that got to do with whether he is teaching creationism? science teachers dont tell kids they cant beleive in creationism. but that doesnt mean they dont teach evolution. lets be honest here.....
