this is a great whiskey. it makes a really great old fashioned. the 100 proof stands up well to the bitters and sugar, and the high rye goes perfectly with orange or lemon. it's my go to when making my favorite cocktail.

I just picked up a fifth of Old GD 100 for the first time and subsequently found your reviews. Oddly, I found OGD very astringent just after opening with the alcohol very pervasive on the nose and palette. After only a day, it has remarkably calmed down to a traditional sweet and spicy bourbon. I am enjoying your reviews.

ive read this is 8 years old. this is almost as good as elijah craig if you're short a few bucks. very good bourbon.

@jmpyle1 Morristown, TN, 40 minutes east of Knoxville. I started watching your channel about a year ago when i started working in the liquor business. You've have helped me broaden my horizons as far as Bourbon is concerned, I used to drink Jack religiously but as i have tried different varieties i now think it taste almost generic. Thank you!
