Design Team 50: Tempe Recycles ALA 100

Our movement is Recycle Tempe, and our mission is to promote awareness and enhance education regarding recycling in Tempe, and to encourage its citizens to participate in recycling, so that we may have a cleaner, sustainable future.
In today's world, the population is growing at an exponential rate, and our resource consumption is vastly exceeding the amount available on the earth. Unless we change our living habits, we're in for a rude awakening when the resources deplete.
Initially, we brainstormed ideas on various causes that we could support, and then researched and contacted local organizations that supported our chosen cause. Afterwards, we selected an organization and collaborated with them to participate in an event that would help us achieve our mission. At the recycling promotional event, we handed out reusable bags, pencils, and informational pamphlets, all made from recycled materials, to display what we can make with recycled goods.
Unfortunately, our movement may experience some difficulties in the future. Most people who do not recycle do so out of laziness or apathy. By bringing awareness to the effects of wasting recyclable goods, we may encourage people to be more active in recycling, but, ultimately, nobody can force them to recycle.
