Palantir Night Live - John Nagl

10/19/2010 - John Nagl is President of the Center for a New American Security, a visiting professor at King's College London, and a member of the Defense Policy Board. A retired Army officer, he served in both Iraq wars. A West Point and Command and General Staff College honors graduate, Nagl earned his doctorate at Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar; his dissertation was published as "Learning to Eat Soup with a Knife: Counterinsurgency Lessons from Malaya and Vietnam". He served as a member of the writing team that produced The US Army/Marine Corps Counterinsurgency Field Manual and is a frequent media commentator on programs including "The News Hour with Jim Lehrer" and "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart".
