  • As a 20 year old loyal DC comics buyer and huge Batman fan. I'm not bothering with Battle for the Cowl or anything else Dan Didio or Grant Morrison throw out there. I'll keep myself inform by other means on what is happening with Batsy.

I'm just pumped for Geoff Johns work in Blacknest Night. That's just about it.

  • Batman/Bruce Wayne is NOT dead.

Know this for a fact because DC's Executive Editor, Dan DiDio taled of the issue to the New York Daily News after BATMAN #681 came out:

    - "He's not dead, though hell definitely be gone for a while, DiDio said. Batman and Bruce Wayne have been around long before me and theyll be around long after me." -

I Can't wait to read "the Battle of the Cowl" just to see the look of the bat-family's faces when they find out that Bruce Wayne isn't dead!!!

  • Heart of Hush was an outstanding story, it's nothing short of a crime that it was overshadowed by RIP.

  • The Hush series was good

  • :s

  • I wasn't crazy about RIP, either, but I really liked the follow up "Last Rites" stuff that Morrison did. It was a good overview of the last seventy years of Batman history and actually made the goofy, Silver age stuff plausible.

Plus you had Bats escaping capture and destroying the machinations of Darkseid and his minions just by USING HIS BRAIN! One of the coolest Batman moments ever!

    I'm looking forward to BFTC.

  • May 1939 - January 14th 2009 (70 years)

    Batman is officially Died

    Final Crisis #6

  • OH! and

when Batman broke his back he had to give the mantle to someone and he chose Azrael to be Batman, but in fact Bruce wanted Dick to be Batman he just didnt want Dick to be hurt by Bane like he was, and also Dick was PISSED when Bruce didnt ask him to be Batman

  • when Flash "Died" his side-kick Kid Flash became the New Flash

when Captain America "Died" his side-kick Bucky aka Winter Soldier became the New Captain America

Like Kid Flash and Bucky, Batman's side-kick should become the New Batman not Robin, but the original Robin, Dick Grayson aka Nightwing he should be the next Batman because it makes sence; Dick is the first person Bruce ever toll he was Batman. Dick like Bucky became there own man - Nightwing, Winter Soldier, Buck = Cap, Dick = Batman.

  • this is good for the batman brand i see give bruce a break he needs it

i hope he is recuperating in a monestary with a full grown beard

this battle for the cowl needs to last a full year seriously

bring out a band of new villians for a new batman

  • i liked RIP a 5 of 5 story i just hope Batman comes back as bruce wayne
