How many four-year-olds do you know that play with adult "emotion?" Teaching poise and "emotion" takes time and usually does not reach a semblance of maturity in the first couple of years.
That does not mean that the student is not enjoying what they are doing, or even more, the response they get when they do it!

You aren't reading the music are you? YOU probably memorized and and are playing it by ear. I've noticed that with a lot of child 'piano prodigies' that they never look at the music they memorize it and know it by ear.

Thank you! Linhdan is a normal child. She reads and studies to remember the piece. She listens to the teacher's sample then plays it by the way of her ears.
