Delicious Haw's Bay Tour
Visited the twin cities of Napier and Hastings -- The spectacular Te Mata Peak before tasting some of the delicacies at ground level. Visited the Arataki Honey site and was surprised when tasting the unique honey flavours and viewing the beewall -- home to over 40,000 live bees. You've heard of wine tasting, well here at our next stop Pernel Fruit World, we got the chance to try seasonal fruit. Took a ride on a tractor drawn trailer, viewed interesting memorabilia and treated to delicious home-made ice cream. Next visited the local cottage industry; Silky Oaks Chocolate Company, manufacturers of fine handmade chocolates using coverture "real" chocolate. We were allowed to view the chocolate making process, sample the goodies and take in the Chocolate Museum -- that is a display of chocolate memorabilia, not made of.

Taieri Gorge by Train Tour.
A visit to the city of Dunedin is not complete without a trip on the Taieri Gorge Railway. One of Dunedin's top attractions, it is also considered one of the world's great train journeys. The train, with heritage carriages lovingly restored to their former glory and packed with character, we departed direct from the ship for a spectacular and breath-taking journey through some of the country's most rugged and dramatic terrain - the Taieri Gorge. From Port Chalmers the train traveled along the eastern shores of Otago Harbour before reaching the city of Dunedin and New Zealand's most impressive railway station. From here we traveled through Dunedin to take in the sights of the city, the southern suburbs and onto the fertile Taieri Plains, finally ascending the Taieri Gorge. Awesome!!!!
