A collection of disconnected subjects, actions and occurrences at the Big Sandy machine-gun shoot. Recorded between March 2010 and October 2011. Thanks to all of the willing shooters who held the trigger down when the cameras were rolling. Thanks to all of the camp builders and extra photographers that it took to cover this large event.

This is a great recreational activity - but current law inhibits growth and further acceptance. We are forced to accept diminished and abbreviated auto-loading weapons, reducing the general public's tactical advantage. Please pressure your representatives to strike the Hughes Amendment from the Firearms Owner's Protection act. Thank you.

This promotional video was for the MG Shooters LLC table at the Small Arms Review show at the State Fairgrounds in Phoenix, Arizona, 02-03-04 DEC 2011.

The Big Sandy Shoot is held twice a year - end of March and late October. You can visit too! For more information check http://www.mgshooters.com

I'm always looking for video production people who want to help at the shoot. You should be able to camp on site and have a basic understanding of cameras, field audio and production support. Message me for details.

  • I have been to Knob Creek a few times and I am planning on going to the next Big Sandy coming up and I was wondering if there will be a lot of vendors selling things like at Knob Creek or will it be just all machine gun shooting?

  • @bitfreakazoid, Knob Creek is known for it's excellent pole barn show. The Big Sandy does not have a show like that. There are a handful of vendors on or around the firing line, but nothing like KC's show.

  • 5:14 whoa wtf is that???

  • @happycrazyugly, 5:14 is the Barrett Light Fifty, M82A1, or do you mean the 50BMG upper on an AR15 lower?

  • @rob762x51 no i know what the Barrett is but that other huge thing with the scope on the side

  • @happycrazyugly - Perhaps you mean the Solothurn S-18/1000, Swiss 20mm anti-tank rifle. Now that's a nice long distance shooter. Featured in the book "Unintended Consequences" by John Ross.
