During a conversation about Supreme Court Justice nominee Sonia Sotomayor, RNC Chairman Michael Steele turns around and accuses "Hardball" host Chris Matthews of "ethnic politics" after playing a video clip of Sen. Lindsey Graham.

"If you want to play ethnic politics, have at it," Steele tells Matthews.

  • Matthews is a moron plain and simple

  • Matthews is one of the liberal pundits who routinely sees racism in any opposition to President Obama, and ascribes racist motives to the Tea Parties in particular and the Republican party in general. How does he then account for midterm Republican victories for governors Nikki Haley, Suzanna Martinez, Brian Sandoval, senator Marco Rubio, congress people Col. Allen West, Jaime Herera, Tim Burns and Raul Labrador, and close calls for Ryan Frzazier and Van Tran in congress?

  • THAT HOST NEEDED TO SHUT HIS MOUTH DAME HE NEEDS 2X4 TO THE DOME

  • Chris Chris Chris biased biased.

  • i dont think he realizes that he is a big part of this "ethnic politics". the rnc just so happen to elect a black guy as chairman of the rnc after obama was elected president. coincidence? i dont think so.

  • sifjure:you live in a dream world;it's the left that absolutely CRUCIFIES and denigrates, with the most toxic ,vile terminology ,conservative women and minorities.

  • There is no greater practitioner of so-called "Ethnic Politics" than the Republican Party. With their phony use of the culture war, the right-wing has polluted our national discussion to the point of triviality.

  • Yes, Fox is biased. And so is MSNBC. Yet the difference is that MSNBC actually gives news and Fox gives information on possible hidden communist symbols in Rockefeller (who was a Republican) Center.

The reason these Republicans oppose Sotomayor is, not that they're racists, but retarded partisans who would all try to filibuster a sandwich proposed by the Democrats. "That mustard is grown in fields where illegal immigrants have worked thanks to left wing politicians like-"

    Give me a break...

  • Olbermann has the 7th most viewed cable news program on air with over 1.3 million viewers a night, 1.29999 million viewers more than you'll ever get.

And Maddow's ratings went up about 89% in October. Ahaha...

Matthews is a centrist, btw. He doesn't want a public option. Scarborough is a former Republican Congressman who was against Bush's spending policy just like Matthews but is in a different party.

Reality is you're an idea without any ability to tell fact from fiction.

  • 1019drummer What are you saying? we SHOULDNT ask tough questions? -- ALL Supreme Court nominees go through a rigorous/tough questioning session, and they should its a appointment 4 life! --- The point is you ask TOUGH question to ANYONE (black white purple, man/women) who is getting that much power! You dont 'walk on eggshells' for some people -- same rules across the board and thats what Steele was saying! Common sense 101..
