During a conversation about Supreme Court Justice nominee Sonia Sotomayor, RNC Chairman Michael Steele turns around and accuses "Hardball" host Chris Matthews of "ethnic politics" after playing a video clip of Sen. Lindsey Graham.

"If you want to play ethnic politics, have at it," Steele tells Matthews.

How does he then account for midterm Republican victories for governors Nikki Haley, Suzanna Martinez, Brian Sandoval, senator Marco Rubio, congress people Col. Allen West, Jaime Herera, Tim Burns and Raul Labrador, and close calls for Ryan Frzazier and Van Tran in congress?
