Chibi is right... those racks are only about 1/2 inch thick and theyre not solid metal.. go to Costco and look at the racks there, and you'll see why it didnt take much... and i work in a warehouse with those kind of racks.. WIDE LOAD COMING THRU!!!!
When the racks are heavily loaded like that, it doesn't take much of a nudge to cause enough of a sway that the shifting weight can cause a post to crimp, at which point everything comes down.

The thing is that, The falling rack wasent build like it should tbh. thats not suppose to happend on a impact like that.
