yes, it was on the a side of a single which they flipped and the b side I WILL SURVIVE became a timeless hit for her. A swedish singer covered it in about 1990 as well

Stumbled here from an April Wine list, 3 Clout songs in I gather they were a sort of cover band, this one being from Gloria Gaynor, B-side of 'I will survive" single (only know this by having that 45 when I was 8). Guitar nerds, any idea what model the while Ibanez is?

@kristof6770 That's right :) it was an album track for the Righteous Brothers in 1975.Gloria Gaynor also recorded 'Substitute'.

This stiffed at #67 here in the United States. Fortunately it played on the radio briefly here in Utah. That was enough for me to discover it. I had to move heaven and earth to find a record of this song. Later in the '90s I had a friend of mine pick up a copy on CD on a trip to London. Absolutely great song! Thanks for posting!
