  • if you already own a fast car youll grow out of a 250 real fast, and especially in america where highway is king youll be ringing the neck out of it. take a motorcycle class. try out the bikes you might want. Its all in perspective; I crashed cause it was MotoGP on the streets for me everyday, then that changed.

ride for the ride and not for the race

  • So it has enough leg room for tall people?

  • @Vismis I'm 6'4 will this glove fit me? I was thinking about one plus found a good deal...

  • I am 6'1 and my SV650s fits me like a glove. Every day is amazing cause i get to ride it :P

  • @plehdehgame I just started riding a month ago and I have this bike. If you're easy on the throttle you'll be fine. This bike is nimble and handles very well and is forgiving too. I'd recommend it to any new rider

  • @plehdehgame PS if you intend to use your motorcycle for extended highway use, the GS500 or the Ninja 500r should also be considered as they're better on highways.

  • @plehdehgame Someone with no motorcycle experience, I'd say go with the 250...In a year or two you could easily sell it for the same price and upgrade to a larger bike. Your uncle is right in this case, it'll probably be too much power for you. Get him to teach you the basics, but keep it slow. Many motorcycle newbies get overconfident and smash into something. Also, enroll in an MSF course. It's cheap and it'll let you get the feel of a low cc motorcycle! And ALWAYS wear your safety equipment!

  • @ruggedrider7 leg room :D

  • I have not yet gotten my moto license but i just started today, and i was looking at some bikes to be my first one. A lot of people are recommending the ninja 205r. Many others say you can learn just as good as you can on a sv650 while having a lot more of fun for a long time to come. I have no riding experience whatsoever but i can say that im good at bicycling (not sure if that means anything lol). Would the sv650 be too much power? My uncle says it will, he used to ride dirt bikes.

  • Sounds like old II w.w. movie :) Awesome

  • @Ryknfjor you just spoke the words of truth plus thats what made me crash my first bike.
