This clip shows the strong and mutually beneficial links between Jamaica's political parties and the gangs in Kingston. It also touches on the CIA's involvement in helping getting guns and assault rifles into Jamaica.

  • (c. 3.35 min): "Cuban guns and money were behind the PNP" repeats a smear on the PNP which began in a CIA disinformation campaign c. 1975, when Manley (with Barrow of Barbados, Williams of Trinidad, and Burnham of Guyana) opened diplomatic, and cultural relations with Cuba. It was also the year in which Jamaica backed Cuba's sending of troops to Angola to defend the government against the rebels backed by the United States and South Africa. The JLP of course made this smear their own.
