If '1 out of 10' means you can feel anything and '0 out of 10' is the feeling of muscles ripping off the bones... Best stretches are somewhere between 7 & 8 out of 10. If you feel you want to pull out of the stretch, it is too strong and should be released. Err on the side of caution and do not inflict pain. Stretching helps to realign damaged muscle fibers and may help you to increase your recovery after intense exercises.
