FFVII - LLNMNI Challenge - Hojo

LL = Low Level (limit = 29)
NM = No Materia
NI = No Items

Good old Hojo. Known to cause trouble in a lot of challenges and this one is no exception. We've now reached the point where Yuffie's Clear Tranquil is no longer enough, so you need to master Cait Sith's Slots to get through this one. Of course, the first battle is just warm-up, but you want to make sure everyone has as much HP as possible before you kill him.

Then we have Hellectic with his classic right arm. Killing it will only make the battle last twice as long thanks to the fact that he revives it all the time, so let's hope he never double attacks or criticals someone. It really hurts not having Sadness in this battle, and ideally, everyone should be defending all the time. The main priority is to finish him off as quickly as possible.

The final form isn't that bad. Most of the time, you can make him attack the character who acted last, and with Cait wearing the Mystile, there's a great chance he'll miss at least twice with his Combo. The real challenge of this battle is to make sure only Cait is alive to claim the EXP. Cloud got a bad start to this battle and he had to bite the dust a bit early, but you honestly don't need him.

Well, that was the last time I received EXP in this challenge. Now, all characters have reached level 29 (most of them only need a few EXP to reach level 30) and only the final bosses remain.

The trick to get Mog Dance is to look for the first part of Cait's face. You know, the one you need for his Game Over combo. The star comes after the face, and if you hit the action button when you see the face, you will get the star, since the reel doesn't stop immediately. That's the hard part. Once you have the first star, you will get the next two unless you hit the button too fast.

Oh, and Fury is gotten from Crazy Saws in the Shinra HQ.

I've gotten to the stage where i know the rythm for getting all yeah!s on tifas limits, but the rythm breaks on final heaen :(

When I did the LLNIIENACMO Challenge in 2005, I didn't press square for the slots. Mog Dance isn't very hard to get if you practice it, and I only failed about 1/4 of the time. I find it much harder to get all yeahs on Tifa's limit break.

You would probably last two minutes against the first form. Maybe three with some luck. However, the challenge would already stop at Guard Scorpion.

Nope. Never. You're forced to use him throughout except for special occasions like when he's in the hospital.
