The Bloor Cinema is a landmark in Toronto, Canada.
Built in 1905 as a vaudeville theatre, it has seen days as a 1940's movie palace, a 1960s grindhouse, and a 1970s porn theatre. It now stands as Canada's largest and best known independent cinema.
'The Bloor', a documentary directed by Peter Kuplowsky and Robin Sharp, edited by Cooper Hanson, was created for the theatre's centennial celebration in 2005.
It won an honourable mention at the 2006 YoungCuts Film Festival and it won 'Best Documentary' at the 2007 UofT Film Festival.
