This is the official HTC Disassembly video guide. It was of some use to me when rooting my phone so thought it may be to others too. I have also posted the official Reassembly and tips Video.

  • OMG... Shut that damn woman up!

  • @Dobolt It's really easy mate. Have you ever seen that twisty knob thing on your speakers? It's called a volume control, turn it anti-clockwise and Ta-Da! You can do it on sat nav's too, and T.V's, radio's. Modern technology, eh? Fucking amazing!

  • what should the ESD wrist wrap be attached to? :-/

  • @lrodney1 The Fuse terminal in a standard mains plug. LOL! Sorry, I mean the Earth (green wire) terminal. Really, don't connect it to the fuse terminal!

  • @lrodney1 Also you can attach it to any metal object or copper pipe (e.g. central heating pipe) that touches the ground at some point. If you connect it to copper pipe use some wire wool to clean the pipe first.

  • Forget this I just wanted to rehouse my phone but this woman is scaring me with her voice. Looks like she is diffusing a bomb lol

  • @keirebu I don't understand why there are so many people out there that are so distressed by this womans voice. Sure it crossed my mind when I first watched the video that she uses quite a mechanical tone but that is because it is an HTC service agent tutorial. Should I get the Mrs to re-record it in a more loving and caring manner with maybe each sentence ending in, 'darling' for those that just find it too damn cold and heartless to view it? Fuckin' Hell people!

  • That is not me. This is an HTC service training video. HTC assembly is based in Taiwan where about 70% of the population speak Taiwanese. As well as the language being different from ours, so is the accent which is a regional effect learnt from the age we start to talk. To most of us intelligent people this info is logical and does not need to be explained. I would therefore suggest that it is in fact you that are ‘retarded’ and that you stick to watching videos of cats falling off of shelves.
