  • @rasek1 i try before to heat a bit of tin wire, to verify the necessary time to melt it, but i don't measured the temperature...

  • i have the same problem , is it necessary to replace the thermal paste ?

  • @zakamooza you have to replace only if it is not "creamy" but it has become dry

  • @MrCohibaboy Defeatist!

  • Can't believe you did not remove the motherboard, did not remove the hard disk, did not apply flux, did not disconnect the internal battery, I could go on. Anyone watching this should not attempt to copy it!

  • i found an easier way to fix laptop when this happens , just throw it out in the rubbish and go buy a brand new one

  • I was thinking about doing that with a Compaq F700, but I'd highly recommend getting the Kapton tape to secure the components nearby so no cap or tiny FET blows off its pad. The bad thing about using heat guns is you need a nozzle those wide open ones are terrible you need some focus, choose wisely if you try this method, unless of course you work at a board house or other engineering firm that has access to top quality hot air rework equipment. Good video and the music made me feel older.

  • You jast idiot!!
